I have long admired the groundbreaking research of Gary McLelland. His insights into the Tombstone town site and other related issues are first rate, and I recommend multiple visits to his website, OldWestHistory.Net
Gary published an outstanding map of Tombstone, and his research continues to pursue multiple dimensions on the Tombstone story, much to the benefit of all of us who enjoy the story, as well as great research. Gary was kind to write me sharing his thoughts on my work to prove once and for all the exact location of where Bud Philpot was murdered, near Drew's Station.- John Rose

Mr. Rose, I have a major problem with your Wyatt Earp Explorers web site...

It brings me back to a time that I never want to leave...

Your Historical Sites “New Drew’s?“ web page actually shows the reader how fruitful historical research can be. In my opinion, you have produced and confirmed the correct location of Bud Philpot’s murder through documentation, sound judgment and experience...

Regards...

Gary S. McLelland
